Aggregation Manager (or Utility) for Analysis Services 2005

One of the new cool things that comes with SP2 is the Aggregation Manager for Analysis Services. It doesn’t come with the actual service pack install, you’ll have to get it through a separate download.

  1. Go here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=e719ecf7-9f46-4312-af89-6ad8702e4e6e&displaylang=en
  2. Download SQLServerSamples.msi
  3. Install it (if you already have installed a previous version of SQL Server Samples you’ll need to uninstall it through Add/Remove Programs)
  4. You’ll find it here: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Samples\Analysis Services\Administrator\AggregationManager (provided is your default directory)

I’m off to go play with it, thoughts coming up in a few days.
